As humorous as the mental image of a big beefy wammo in a wedding dress is, I don't think Anet wants to open that can of worms.
On the topic of cost, I'm fine with paying $15 for the complete set. I'm female and so are all my characters. I got three costumes to choose from. I can't say that I'd feel so great about my purchase if I was a guy and only played male characters. Their outfits aren't bad... they just don't look very different and there's only two.
I guess there's always the option of buying one set, but I'd avoid the wedding one because of the $3 extra that you have to pay for the shinies on it.

I'm really starting to hate the direction GW is moving.
There has been a lot of work on costumes, and we've only seen one significant skill update in 6 months. The content is starting to seem less like GW and more like....fan service.
I feel like I'm getting farther and farther away from whatever the hell Anet thinks their target audience is.

I like new content and new costumes. I don't know if this particular costume set caught me on a bad week or something but I just can't bring myself to buy it because I feel as though it's not exotic or fantasy-ish enough T_T;;
I loved the other costumes but I can't imagine any of my characters using any of these costumes though. D'oh.
EDIT:

This too, a part of me also doesn't want to support Anet until they at least address some of the major frustrations in the game lately
and at least deliver the dervish update...

Double-Edged sword for sure. I am happy for all of the people that like the costumes and such, and the new content for WiK/Crisis in Cantha is awesome, but that doesn't change the fact that there has been only 1 significant skill update since the TK started a year ago.
We were told we were getting a skill update every 2 months and that it was feasible to do every two months because of the TK. What happened with that?
I am completely stoked and completely let down at the same time.
P.S. The new male Mesmer armor is really cool.

As stated in my early post *points downward* my ranger is still having this issue. Has anyone else gotten this too? is it a bug or is it rotten luck for me?
okay this is bugged too. my ranger was on the second WiK quest so i grabbed the thing from murro in la. it made me do a few dialogs and now its saying kill these mantle. but i already killed them and turn in the quests. so i dropped the wik quest and now i cant get it back. and the log is still not updating. ;/

Paragons still suck. Even in tuxes.
I'm starting to sympathize with those who don't like this new direction, but as long as the costumes are kept optional and are accompanied (or preempted) by new content, I'll be alright. I just hope the Keiran quests are going somewhere good. Seems like they are so far.

Still have 2 toons to take thru WiK and was wondering about something now.
After 7 toons in total allready thru it I kinda got into a groove to "jumpstart" WiK with the dialogs. I'd witness them in the following order as soon as EotN was finished :
- Port to vloxen and witness Zinn's Trial.
- Port to EotN and rezone into the HoM to go thru all of Gwen/Thackery's stuff
- Do the scavenger hunt
- Watch final Gwen/Thackery dialog.
- Move to the Shinning Blade Camp and watch 3 dialogs (Initial one, Livia/Evennia leaving, Livia returning with the Asura) skipping quite a few here
- Port back to Eotn and watch Evennia meeting the Ebon guys.
- Port to LA and enter the keep, watch the Ebon folks ariving and it was quest time!
Now after all that blabla, what I'm wondering, is this still possible at all, or are these guiding quests actually going to prolong it all by forcing me to watch stuff between quests ?

Fixed for ya .
Although a Paragon in a tux might look pretty suave. My Paragon is a prettyboy anyway with his shaggy, silver hair.

So at first I was like "lol, i'm not the kind of person who wants to put their video game toon in a wedding dress, i won't buy these!"
Then I was like "oh snap, a top hat. that's like one of my most requestd item! i will buy these!"
But then I was like "this top hat does not have a monacle! wtf??! i won't buy these!"
And that's my story. ;-)

That is a very moving story. Thank you for sharing.
I did get the wedding pack mainly because I... well, I don't know why. Because I could I suppose - and I do like the wedding couple dress. I must admit that the tuxedos seem a bit out of place but oh well.

That's similar to my story. I'm a huge nerd, but I'm just not nerdy enough to buy wedding clothes.
If the top hat had a monocle and a mustache, I would sell my third testicle to buy it.

PvE doesn't need skill updates, at least not as badly as it needs content. Content is what gets people playing. Seems like you're the one who needs to rethink what the "target audience" of GW is.
Not saying that I like PvP getting neglected (though, you did just get an update that fixed quite a few persistent issues...), but if they're going to favor one mode over another, they're going to favor PvE.

Third item is in Ettin's Back, somewhere behind Ventari's Refuge. Look for a sword.

100% agree, but he meant PvP skill-update. We really need these at least every month.

Nerfing one GvG team build is hardly "fix[ing]...quite a few persistent issues..."
That's fixing ONE issue....in 6 months.
